In this video we have three different dogs with dental disease. These dogs were filmed within one week of work. I generally see dental disease everyday, at least once a day, but often times more than that.
Weight-bearing raw bones should not be fed as they are too hard and can cause the teeth to crack. Safe bones consist of rib bones, chicken necks, and a few others, but those are my go-to choices. I am not a fan of any ‘dental chews’ available on the market such as denta stix. They might clean your dogs teeth, but their ingredients are not healthy. Not all dogs can have bones, especially if they are gulpers, as they can choke.
Veterinary dental cleanings can be expensive, so proper maintenence is your best bet to avoid this procedure. Regular brushing can prevent tartar build up.
This problem is more commonly seen in small dogs as opposed to large dogs. That’s because small dogs have tiny mouths that easily collect food as their teeth are often crammed.
Your pets oral health is very important. Clients who get their pets teeth cleaned often notice their dog is happier, more energetic, and enjoying life to the fullest. Teeth shown in this video causes a lot of pain.
One of my main goals of this channel is to educate the public on what I know about pet health, so I can help to pro-long their beloved pets life. Many people don’t know that poor oral health can lead to pre-mature death.
